How Early Is Too Early?

mickey

HI everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since we’ve had an update. For those of you that don’t know, we also run the site http://www.tatumpictures.com and have just finished shooting a Star Wars fan film. We’ve been in post-production for quite some time. But we haven’t forgotten the great folks that read the blog and listen to the radio station!

So, we wanted to ask the question. Is it too early to start incorporating Christmas music into our rotation? We’re starting to feel a little festive and want to start placing some music here and there. Will you love it? Will it bother you? We want to be fair to everyone so let us know what you would like. We’re happy you love the station.

Additionally, we have been toying with the idea of adding ride-throughs from Disneyland. After all, it is Magic Kingdom Radio. And the magic doesn’t just stop at the Walt Disney World resort.

We would love to get your opinion. So please, let us know your thoughts. And we’ll do our best to keep the blog current.

Walt Disney World May Replace Tomorrowland Speedway with TRON Lightcycle Power Run – DisneyDining

To be perfectly honest, this doesn’t surprise me. The Tomorrowland Speedway has been somewhat of a staple on the Magic Kingdom. However, it’s a little dated. This is often a popular attraction if you have children, but the TRON style rollercoaster could have promise. Only time will tell.

Walt Disney World Changed the Bath Products Used in Resort Guest Rooms

Here’s another, albeit small, change that seems to be happening at the WDW Resort. Some may remember the scents that they put in the showers. The scent of blushing orange combined with the signature Florida sulfur scented water. One of the things that the folks at Disney are good at is using our sense of smell to invoke emotion or a fond memory. Even if it is something as inadvertently using the smell of their bath scents to do the same job (not sure if it was intentional but it certainly does the job).

How do you feel about this change? Let us know what you think.

Many guests get extremely excited for the Disney themed bath products found in the guest room when staying at a resort at Walt Disney World.  Disney uses H20+ brand of products in the guests rooms and the type and design of the H20+ that are used.

Figment May Be Going Away Based on Walt Disney World Guest Survey – DisneyDining

Little by little, remnants of the old EPCOT (or EPCOT Center for those who remember) seem to be slowly fading away. Many will remember attractions such as the World of Motion, Universe of Energy (before Ellen), Kitchen Kabaret, and other older attractions no longer there (if these don’t spark your memory, listen to Throwback Thursday on the radio station. Maybe it will jog your memory). And while we can all accept that things must and do change, it’s sad to think that one of EPCOT’s icons may end up being lost amidst the change. Of course, this is only conjecture at this point. However, Disney Dining tends to hear correct. Take a look and let us know what you think.

Walt Disney World frequently conducts research surveys to receive feedback and help guide new experiences and offerings that will be planned for the parks.  Based on recent surveys to Epcot guests, it looks like Disney is trying to determine Figment’s overall popularity.

What do you think?: Jack Sparrow Ruined Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean Ride

We’re actually inclined to disagree, here. But click the link and read the article yourself. Most of the references are for the Disneyland attraction. However, the same falls true for the same attraction in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. Let us know what you think. Sound off, mates!

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The attraction has a timeless appeal, and its greatest strength was its lack of storyline. But then, Disney added Jack Sparrow to the ride in 2006. Sparrow’s inclusion, and the intrusive manner in which it was done, detracts from what made the ride special.

BREAKING: Star Wars Resort Experience Possibly Coming to Walt Disney World – DisneyDining

So how do you feel about this one? There are rumors in the wind about a luxury Star Wars resort experience. It would be GREAT!! If you remove the word luxury. There seems to be a disturbing trend of offering luxury experiences like this to those who are willing to pay. And make no mistake, Disney knows that there are plenty who will pay. But will this resort experience fall under the deluxe umbrella of the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian? Does that mean that travelers who can’t afford to stay at that level will never be able to experience this Star Wars experience? We’re interested in hearing your thoughts about this. Let us know what you think.

Christmas on Magic Kingdom Radio

mickey

We’re a little late this year. But it it took us a little time to regain some of the music we had last year. Starting Monday, we’ll start playing some holiday music to get you through your work week. Some in the morning and some in the afternoon. Then all day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So you can have it on in the background of any holiday activities that you have going. And as always, have a very safe, warm, and happy holiday this season!

Disney World closing early today as Hurricane Matthew approaches – Orlando Sentinel

Well, a lot of us were speculating but it was made official. It seems as though Walt Disney World will close at 5 p.m,. today and will not open Friday due to Hurricane Matthew. This also means that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will be canceled tonight. Disney Parks has already been in the process of moving guests from the Wilderness Lodge camp sites into resorts.

We wish all the guests and residents down there to be safe during this dangerous time.
