BREAKING: Permits Filed and Building Placement Revealed for Tron Coaster and Main Street Theater

Sometimes change is good! As it is in this instance as the Walt Disney World company filed permits for the new addition to Tomorrowland; the addition of the Tron Cycle Roller coaster!

Some Disney fans may have seen video of the Tron Coaster, if you’ve been following what has been happening at Shanghai Disneyland. And over the last few months, there have been many rumors swirling around the changes at the WDW resort from the changes in Pirates of the Caribbean, to Star Wars and Toy Story Lands, and now it seems this will be another change that will take place. We’re really excited about this one. Not excited? Take a look at the video below and see if you change your mind.

Now for those that have been to multiple Disney locations, you know that there are differences in the attractions, even though they are the same. For example, Pirates of the Caribbean is a longer ride in Disneyland than it is in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. So, even though WDW is rumored to get the Tron Coaster, there are likely going to be some differences.

Now, nothing has yet been confirmed officially. However, if you take a look at the blueprint below, you can see what the intention is:

Looking at the blueprint, you’ll also notice that there is another change that may be coming to Main Street USA. It appears to be some sort of a theater that will be added (where titled “MK1”).

We’ll keep an eye on this to see what else develops! Let us know what you think!

Walt Disney World’s Pirates of the Caribbean Will Close in February to Change Auction Scene

This is something that’s been in the rumor mill for a long time now. A lot of POTC fans have voiced during the last year whether they agree or disagree with this change. However, it sounds as if this change is going to happen whether fans want it or not. The sensitivity around the inclusion of a “wench auction” has some fans stating that this change could not come soon enough. The change that will be brought about will still contain the “redhead”, albeit a different capacity as you’ll see in the artist’s rendering below:

Disney fans, over the years, have been forced to accept change to attractions throughout the WDW resort. And what fans should realize is that change is inevitable. We’ve seen many things change over the years. However, Disney still has a way to take the current changes and tie them to previous attractions of yesterday. For instance, you can still hear the theme to If You Had Wings if you listen to the music in Tomorrowland and on the Peoplemover.

What do you think of the new changes to POTC?

How Early Is Too Early?

mickey

HI everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since we’ve had an update. For those of you that don’t know, we also run the site http://www.tatumpictures.com and have just finished shooting a Star Wars fan film. We’ve been in post-production for quite some time. But we haven’t forgotten the great folks that read the blog and listen to the radio station!

So, we wanted to ask the question. Is it too early to start incorporating Christmas music into our rotation? We’re starting to feel a little festive and want to start placing some music here and there. Will you love it? Will it bother you? We want to be fair to everyone so let us know what you would like. We’re happy you love the station.

Additionally, we have been toying with the idea of adding ride-throughs from Disneyland. After all, it is Magic Kingdom Radio. And the magic doesn’t just stop at the Walt Disney World resort.

We would love to get your opinion. So please, let us know your thoughts. And we’ll do our best to keep the blog current.
